  • What are the benefits of Liri Tea?
The benefits of our herbal teas are recognized by science. This "mountain tea" is rich in iron, unlike classic green and black tea which are not recommended for people suffering from deficiencies (because they prevent the absorption of iron by the body). Liri Tea helps strengthen the immune defences, detoxify the body and relieve gastrointestinal discomfort. Rich in flavonoids and polyphenols, known for their antioxidant and anti-inflammatory powers, mountain tea is highly appreciated for fighting seasonal flu, colds, relieving sore throats and helping to purify the respiratory tract. Liri Tea also helps the body fight the damaging effects of free radicals.
  • Is mountain tea a tea, or an infusion?"
Called çaj mali in Albanian, which literally means mountain tea, the answer is yes! It is the traditional tea, always consumed because it grows naturally in the mountains. In France, we usually call tea the infusion of the dried leaves of the Camellia Sinensis plant. Our mountain tea does not come from this plant, but from the Sideritis plant, which means that it is naturally theine-free.

  • Under what conditions is mountain tea picked?
Our mountain tea is an artisanal product. The flowers are picked by hand by pickers and then they are dried by hand using ancestral know-how. No machine is involved in the creation of the bouquet that you will find in your Liri Tea box.
  • How long can I store the flowers?
In each box, the bouquet is wrapped in a 100% cotton towel. Its purpose is not only aesthetic: the towel helps to keep the flowers in the best conditions. Traditionally, the flowers are kept for one year without problems (the picking takes place every summer). The question now arises: will the bouquet really last a year among lovers of extraordinary infusions like you? ;)
